Weapons of Death
1982 | Color | 90 min.

Starring: Eric Lee, Bob Ramos, Ralph Catellanos, Louis Winfield Bailey (Ooh, the great Louis Winfield Bailey…), Gerald Okamura, Joshua Johnson, Paul Kryiazi, Leemoi, and Nancy Lee.

Directed By: Paul Kryiazi

Summary: A scuzzy biker dude who resembles former pro wrestler Van Hammer, kidnaps the daughter of his arch-nemesis in order to ransom her back to a Chinese crime syndicate…Uh, I think.

Good: There are a couple of entertaining brawls in addition to the fight scenes between Gerald Okamura and Eric Lee.

Bad: Choose your hero. Will it be the drunken vagabond or the racist pornstar? Choose wisely.

Recommended: For fans of Gerald Okamura, absolutely. If you pick up one of those 100 martial arts movie packs, you will most likely get this film and it will be one of the better films you’ll get. Unfortunately it will likely be a horribly-cropped, pan-and-scan print with washed-out color and sub-par sound like the one I have.

Gerald Okamura and Eric Lee throw down.

Let me apologize to everyone who has had issues with this site over the past few days. It seems GoDaddy is having some technical difficulties and they aren’t being too forthcoming about what exactly these issues are or when they will be fixed.

I have made several attempts to get some answers on their forum and I have logged an official support ticket over a day and a half ago and I have yet to receive an official response from anyone.

Cartman_Pissed_Off
Derek = Unhappy customer.

So, please bear with us as we try to get things back in order around here. As much as I don’t want to, we may ultimately have to look elsewhere for hosting if something isn’t done within the next couple days. 😕

P.S. It will be a small miracle if this actually posts to the site with the way things are going right now.

P.P.S. Come to think of it, it’s more amazing you actually had the patience to wait for this page to load so you could read this. Thanks. 🙂

UPDATE: According to a couple of GoDaddy employees on their forum, “(W)e (GoDaddy) are addressing reports of latency affecting some of the hosted sites within our Legacy hosting environment.” It seems that, “some of the hosted sites within our Legacy hosting environment” would include this site. We’re just lucky, I guess. 🙄

I have supplied them with all my pertinent info, so we’ll see how it goes.

For the latest breaking news, on our semi-broken site, stay tuned to BadMovieRealm.com! 😛

Deadly Duo (aka Blade of Fury, Two Great Cavaliers)
1978 | Color | 94 min.

Starring:
Angela Mao Ying, John Liu, Chan Sing, Cheng Chiu, Chin Lung, Leung Kar Yan, and Man Kong Lung.

Directed By:
Ching-Chen Yang

Summary:
A plotless little kung fu film filled with all of the “but, still…” you can handle.

Good:
The first fifteen minutes and the last fifteen minutes; John Liu in top, high-kicking form; and of course, the lovely Angela Mao.

Bad: The hour of running time in between the first and last fifteen minutes. The stale (and in this case, remarkably convoluted) Ming vs. Ching plotline.

Recommended: Only if you are a huge Angela Mao or John Liu fan. Otherwise just skip to the last 20 minutes or so.

In this clip you’ll see a group of bandits trying to infiltrate our hero’s hidden fortress. Spoiler: Sometimes being a low-ranking henchman sucks.

Check out the exploding Muppet towards the end…Priceless.
