On this day, back in 1956, American International Pictures released the Cold War paranoia-fueled alien invasion flick, It Conquered The World.
With an amazing cast (Peter Graves, Lee Van Cleef, and the lovely Beverly Garland), silly rubber monster (designed by Paul Blaisdell), and perhaps the greastest, most pretentious speech in film history, It Conquered The World is, for my money, the greatest b-movie of the drive-in era.
